Community, Safety & Moderation Rules — Carpooling
Version: 0.1 — DRAFT — PLACEHOLDERS TO REPLACE Date: 25 August 2026
These rules form part of the Terms.
1. Core rules
Use the Service for lawful, safe cost-sharing carpooling. Respect people, privacy, group rules and the law.
2. Prohibited conduct
No threats, violence, unlawful harassment/discrimination, stalking, fraud, impersonation, spam, scraping, doxxing, unlawful disclosure, IP infringement, unlawful sexual content, non-consensual intimate images, malware/phishing, unauthorised access, circumvention of blocks/security controls, unlawful activity or systematic profit-making unauthorised passenger transport.
3. Trip safety
Drivers must have a valid licence, lawful vehicle use, required insurance and a compliant/roadworthy vehicle. Follow seat/capacity and safety rules. Do not use the app distractingly while driving. The Service is not an emergency service.
4. Privacy and photos
Do not post unnecessary IDs, financial/health/highly sensitive data, private addresses that create risk, or third-party photos/information without rights/permission.
5. Reports
Report users/groups/content in-app or at safety@placeholder.invalid, giving enough context to evaluate the issue. Knowingly false or harassing reports are prohibited.
6. Illegal-content notices
Where the DSA applies, notices should include a sufficiently reasoned explanation and enough electronic-location information to identify the content. Channel: https://placeholder.invalid/en/illegal-content-notice.
7. Moderation measures
We may take no action, seek information, restrict/remove content, warn, limit features, suspend/close accounts/groups, preserve necessary evidence or contact authorities where lawful. Severity, risk, context, frequency, intent and prior conduct are considered.
8. Automation and human review
Automated checks may be used for file security, spam/abuse, rate limiting and technical protection. We do not claim to use general AI to autonomously judge all message legality. Material decisions receive human involvement where legally required or appropriate.
9. Reasons and appeals
Where required, we provide reasons and remedy information. Appeal at https://placeholder.invalid/en/moderation-appeal. Human review is provided where required by law.
10. Blocking
Blocking limits interactions within available features but cannot prevent offline contact. Deliberate circumvention may violate these rules.
11. Emergencies
For immediate danger contact 112 or the relevant emergency service.
12. DSA contacts
